Bio – Alba Chliakhtine
Over the past 15 years Alba gained extensive experience in senior and executive level leadership, management and governance. Her areas of interest are strategy, transformational change, business development and building organisation capability. Alba’s experience encompasses diverse sectors across the private, public, and not for profit sectors in three countries – from banking to manufacturing to health to multicultural community support.
Alba is a strategic thinker who works well in complex environments with a professional background is in procurement and logistics. Her key career achievements: Health Purchasing Victoria (2013-2016) leading the transformation of the procurement process, implementation of key requirements of the Victorian Government Procurement reforms, built and up-skilled a successful team of health sector procurement specialist (e.g. in prostheses, equipment and services), increased the spend under contract from $350 million to $800 million and unlocked supply chain savings in excess of $75 million.
Since 2010 she has been a board member of the Victorian Refugee Immigrant Women Coalition (VIRWC) responsible for Treasury and Governance. In 2017, after two decades as an Executive, Senior Leadership and Management levels, she purposefully embarked on the next phase of her career, which is in two parts. The first is the founding of her consultancy company, Cognitive Uplift, focused on Strategy, Organisation Transformation and Business Development, and Procurement. The second is as a Professional Company Director.
